ive the same issue, changed breaks etc. i totally thinks thats the problem, while driving i saw on the live data that the speedometer didn´t work at all. Must be the wheel sensor too

Like most the remote quit working so I replaced the batteries. Nothing. So, I saw several vids that was showing a similar sequence: on/off then holding Lock button and clicking unlock 5 times in 10 seconds. No Luck. I saw this one for 2005 ML350 and thought ah ha! That is my year. Nope. Maybe I am missing a step. Crank engine, run 10 seconds or long enough to make sure car is running. Turn off. Hold Lock and unlock at same time. No instructions as to how long to hold the buttons down so held for 10 seconds. Released buttons. Nothing. Do you have any other ideas?

Hi guys! Thank you for the video and for the comments. I understand that if you just add refrigerant, then after many years, a little oil will be needed. My question is different. What about vacuuming? If my technician performs vacuuming, is he required to add oil, or can he just add refrigerant as well?

Just when I thought RUclips was full of hokey stuff, this video actually proved useful and helped me out. Got my battery changed amd the windows would not roll up or down with a single press of the button. This method got it to work. Greag video. Short and to the point.

Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I have a 94 with tilt column and cracked lower collar due to attempted theft. From what I'm finding, 94-95 are different than earlier models. I have a 95 with staright column too. Do you know what the actual diffeneces are? Can I swap an older lower collar into late column? They seem to be much more plentyful. I worked in a body shop in the 80s and we swapped out many of these on GM cars with theft attempts but not much information on these now a days.

Hi thank you for telling about the no resistor spark plugs. I just purchased some because when I did my tuneup I used resistor. I’m hoping that changing them will fix the hard idle. I was wondering if these spark plugs would be good. I already have them in. NGK (54126) RC-EUC062 Spark Plug Wire Set

Great video. You must be much more patient than myself as my metal trim "tore" trying to separate it. I've gone through so many of these through eBay that I will try your fix. How has it held up over eight years? Can you also confirm which "direction" worked when testing with the drill?

What will happen if did not do this when new battery installed?

I found this because i suspected a faulty fuel pump resistor on my 2012 tacoma 2.7L, luckily you point out the 2.7 does not have one. It's little details like these that sometimes work wonders. Symptoms were similar however mine would idle slow, occasionally die, frequently if driving in town. I cleaned battery terminals, cables + new shrink tubing, topped off cells with DI water...no change. This problem started after replacing the AC relay where my stray bolt arced on the panel terminals I had to exposed for accessing the bolts...always disconnect battery! I decided to check mass flow sensor and found a plug on the air filter housing, which I assumed was the maf or something relevant to detecting air flow quantity, so I unplugged it (motor was running), engine died, upon restart the issue had vanished - my truck was back. If anyone reads this and has a good explanation, please enlighten me. Also, are the bolts for the AC relay special metal alloy or will any type suffice without creating interference, or engine noise?

You can easily change it under the vehicle in 5 minutes without removing anything.

started of watching the series because i was looking for results of interrupting spark. does have spark but really weak and if it does run, it will for a few seconds and die. wont have spark for a while afterwards. this is strange because i bought it running and driving at a swap meet. used the bike for a straight week with no issues besides that it burns oil and will eventually foul the plug. i had to replace the plug once every other day. i bring it back home and rode it around in the RV park i live in for 2 days with no problems. July 4th, i go out at late evening to watch the fireworks and as im driving down the road just DIES. not a sputter and then quit like what a fouled plug would do. it wouldnt start afterwards. if you have any speculations as to what this could be. after watching your video, im thinking points or coil needs a replacement. like a said, ran great for a solid week and half with no issues besides smoking a bit and then just out of the blue nothing. not even changing the sparkplug to a new one fixed it. i enjoyed watching the series and watched all the way through. ive learned a lot and bought one of these bikes in the intentions of learning how to work on z50s.
